For Albany City Council

Stacey’s Already
Doing the Work

From affordable housing to serving on city council in years past, Stacey has the experience.

Volunteered at Habitat for Humanity and built one house as a volunteer. Then served as a board member, and spent 3.5 years as an assistant construction manager.

Led the Hub City Village project for 7 years, established a vision for combatting homelessness by providing housing to the unhoused and housing-unstable.

During COVID, Stacey founded the Community Outreach Assistance Team, a resource for food and shelter insecurity.

Along with her work at COAT, Stacey has been volunteering at First Christian Church’s community meal for a number of years.

As a city councilor in 2021-2022 Stacey advocated to keep city busses free.

While working on affordable housing at Hub City Village and working for Habitat for Humanity, she learned about road repair and construction.

About Stacey

“You don’t have to know everything, but you have to be willing to stick your neck out to achieve amazing things.” – Stacey Bartholomew

Stacey has spent years working on issues that touch the lives of every Albany resident: housing, food access, and transportation. Now, she wants to continue that work as your city councillor.

In Stacey’s own words:

Housing: For too many Albany families, the prospect of buying a home is out of reach. We need practical solutions that increase housing opportunities while making sure our community remains livable for working families. I’ve helped develop affordable housing in Albany, including Habitat for Humanity homes for families as well as tiny homes for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. I know what it takes to turn housing policy into reality, and making housing more affordable will be my top priority.

Food: Everyone should have reasonable access to groceries and everyday essentials they need. South Albany is growing rapidly, yet residents have limited access to a full-service grocery store. I will work with local businesses, developers, and community partners to make South Albany a place where a supermarket can succeed.

Roads: You don’t need me to tell you that Albany’s infrastructure needs attention, especially our streets! Like many of you, I’m tired of the potholes. Your neighborhood deserves good roads. We need responsible planning and investment to maintain the infrastructure that our growing community depends on.

What Sets Me Apart

I bring practical experience, a background in counseling, and a commitment to listening. My work has taught me how to solve problems, navigate complex challenges, and work with people from all walks of life.

Most importantly, I believe public service starts with listening. I want to understand the issues you face every day and work with you to find solutions. You deserve a City Councilor who will make time for one-on-one conversations and treat your concerns with respect.
